Our friends at Parkland Medical Center, in Derry NH, recently added a 64-Slice CT to their Radiology Department, one of few found in the state of New Hampshire.
“This is cutting edge technology” said Ray Wilburn, Director of Radiology. “This new multi-slice CT scanner allows even greater detailed examination of the disease process and anatomical structures including: cardiac imaging, trauma imaging, orthopaedic imaging and vascular imaging. The multi-plane reformatting capability allows us to see anatomical structures from different perspectives providing for enhanced diagnostic capabilities.”
The new CT scanner reduces the average CT exam time by greater than 50 percent. What this means for a patient undergoing a CT scan is that they will experience a shorter exam with increased comfort.
Congratulations to Ray and his team and Parkland. They’re pretty excited about the level of care and service they can offer their community with this incredible diagnostic tool.
